Meet the Team
Justine Calderwood, MSPT
Owner And Founder Of The Healing Spot
Justine Calderwood, MSPT is Colorado Springs’ and Teller County’s leading physical therapist who specializes in helping women during pregnancy and beyond to heal and feel empowered. She loves helping women feel better and learn to manage their pain and concerns independently. She helps women in ways that often surprises them, coming from a physical therapy practice, and that’s what sets The Healing Spot Physical Therapy apart from the clinics down the street.
Justine founded The Healing Spot because she was frustrated with the way she saw her patients passed from therapist to therapist with little continuity of care, rushed through sessions and not given the time, attention and resources they needed to truly get better. She is a small town Iowa girl who was influenced by the integrity and nurturing of her family and she knew her patients deserved better care.
Justine saw the way women with pelvic health issues are treated in the traditional healthcare system and got frustrated with how many women are told that their pain and concerns (like leaking, pain with sex, prolapse, etc) are just “normal after having babies” or “it’s because you’re getting older” instead of being offered a solution and peace of mind. Too many women are told to just live with it, to take medicine or that surgery is the only option. It’s her drive and passion for providing quality care while helping women avoid medications, injections and surgery that she pours into her work at The Healing Spot and into leading The Healing Spot Team.
Justine graduated with a Master’s Degree in Physical Therapy from The University of Kansas Medical Center in 2002, and is a Certified Birth Healing Specialist, an Advanced Myofascial Release Therapist, a Reiki Master Practitioner and a Level 3 Low Pressure Fitness Trainer. Outside of work she enjoys spending time with her husband Marc and their two daughters, working out at the gym and hiking with their two dogs, Ollie and Pennie. As a family you’ll often find them traveling, scuba diving, riding ATVs and snowmobiles and hanging out with friends and family.
Pelvic Health Specialist
Mary Hollenbeck, PTA has been a Pelvic Health Specialist for both women and men for over 25 years. She is passionate about helping heal and empower women and men of all ages with pelvic pain, urinary and bowel incontinence, scar pain and restriction, bowel emptying and constipation.
Mary grew up in the San Francisco Bay area but has lived and worked in Colorado Springs for 28 years. She graduated from De Anza College PTA program in 1979, and after working in a variety of settings, she became very interested in the area of pelvic health. She has taken numerous courses to specialize in pelvic health and wellness, beginning in the mid 90’s, as the specialty began to emerge within Physical Therapy.
Some of her major accomplishments include developing and working in the pelvic health program at Penrose Hospital in Colorado Springs for 9 years. She later developed a pelvic health program as a part of a growing private practice, centered mainly in Orthopedics, in Colorado Springs. She was instrumental in adding pelvic health as a specialty in her prior place of employment, where she worked for the past 18 years.
Mary was very excited to join The Healing Spot Physical Therapy team in 2022. She brings with her an abundance of experience and expertise, as well as a good dose of lightheartedness, passion and genuine care for the patients she works with.
Mary is very inspired to help both women and men live their very best lives and to return to their active and fulfilled lives. Outside of work she loves spending time with her husband, Galen, their three grown daughters and her two grandsons. You can also find her enjoying watercolor painting, hiking and sewing.

Customer Care Manager
Margaux Justice is the Customer Care Manager for The Healing Spot Physical Therapy. New to the role starting in 2021, she is the voice and support behind the phone.
Margaux graduated from Iowa State University in 2017 with a BA Degree in Psychology and Design Studies; thinking she’d go on to pursue her Masters in Art Therapy. However, fresh out of college, she was quickly disillusioned with the current healthcare system and realized it was not the appropriate avenue for her to truly help others in the ways they were seeking.
In 2018, shortly after moving to Colorado, she attended a Yoga Teacher Training program with Yoga Studio Satya and is now an RYT200 who guides weekly classes. Through Yoga she discovered Ayurveda, the sister science to Yoga, and is now a full time student studying Ayurvedic Medicine and Vitalist Herbalism.
As a Yoga guide and student of Ayurvedic Medicine, Margaux loves helping others discover their unique rhythm and harmony along their healing journey, and is in the process of beginning her own budding practice to offer this type of support and care to any and all who seek it.
Outside of work and her studies, Margaux enjoys working on projects around the home with her husband Jake, gardening, creating art, exploring dance and other forms of organic movement, as well as learning to play the lyre. Her little family also consists of two rescue pups, Uma and Sigrit, as well as three cats, Rhaego, Bugsy, and Sunni; all of whom are some of her greatest teachers and reminders to be joyful, present, and content in any given moment.
