Owner And Founder Of The Healing Spot
Pelvic Health Specialist
Mary Hollenbeck, PTA has been a Pelvic Health Specialist for both women and men for over 25 years. She is passionate about helping heal and empower women and men of all ages with pelvic pain, urinary and bowel incontinence, scar pain and restriction, bowel emptying and constipation.
Mary grew up in the San Francisco Bay area but has lived and worked in Colorado Springs for 28 years. She graduated from De Anza College PTA program in 1979, and after working in a variety of settings, she became very interested in the area of pelvic health. She has taken numerous courses to specialize in pelvic health and wellness, beginning in the mid 90’s, as the specialty began to emerge within Physical Therapy.
Some of her major accomplishments include developing and working in the pelvic health program at Penrose Hospital in Colorado Springs for 9 years. She later developed a pelvic health program as a part of a growing private practice, centered mainly in Orthopedics, in Colorado Springs. She was instrumental in adding pelvic health as a specialty in her prior place of employment, where she worked for the past 18 years.
Mary was very excited to join The Healing Spot Physical Therapy team in 2022. She brings with her an abundance of experience and expertise, as well as a good dose of lightheartedness, passion and genuine care for the patients she works with.
Mary is very inspired to help both women and men live their very best lives and to return to their active and fulfilled lives. Outside of work she loves spending time with her husband, Galen, their three grown daughters and her two grandsons. You can also find her enjoying watercolor painting, hiking and sewing.
Social Media and Marketing Assistant
Katherine ‘Kitty’ Harris is a Colorado loving native, who is a former Volleyball collegiate athlete with an Associates of Arts Degree in psychology from Trinidad State Junior College. She has gone on to pursue her career and passion in all things health, wellness and art.
She has been a 200hr certified yoga instructor (CYT – 200hr) since the beginning of 2019 through Cambio Yoga, here in Colorado Springs. Katherine went on to become a certified personal trainer (CPT – ACE) at the end of 2020 as well.
She has more than 5 years of experience independently teaching, coordinating and hosting art and wellness events in the community, not only for herself, but for various businesses as well.
Kitty thrives on being able to bring people together in the community and support local business growth, whether that’s through events, public speaking, networking, or all things marketing. She is excited to be a part of the Healing Spot Physical Therapy team and contribute to building that special, safe, and secure relationship between patient and therapist.
Outside of work, you can find her binging out on her books or comics and rolling around on her skateboard.
Customer Care Manager
Margaux Justice is the Customer Care Manager for The Healing Spot Physical Therapy. New to the role starting in 2021, she is the voice and support behind the phone.
Margaux graduated from Iowa State University in 2017 with a BA Degree in Psychology and Design Studies; thinking she’d go on to pursue her Masters in Art Therapy. However, fresh out of college, she was quickly disillusioned with the current healthcare system and realized it was not the appropriate avenue for her to truly help others in the ways they were seeking.
In 2018, shortly after moving to Colorado, she attended a Yoga Teacher Training program with Yoga Studio Satya and is now an RYT200 who guides weekly classes. Through Yoga she discovered Ayurveda, the sister science to Yoga, and is now a full time student studying Ayurvedic Medicine and Vitalist Herbalism.
As a Yoga guide and student of Ayurvedic Medicine, Margaux loves helping others discover their unique rhythm and harmony along their healing journey, and is in the process of beginning her own budding practice to offer this type of support and care to any and all who seek it.
Outside of work and her studies, Margaux enjoys working on projects around the home with her husband Jake, gardening, creating art, exploring dance and other forms of organic movement, as well as learning to play the lyre. Her little family also consists of two rescue pups, Uma and Sigrit, as well as three cats, Rhaego, Bugsy, and Sunni; all of whom are some of her greatest teachers and reminders to be joyful, present, and content in any given moment.
