Justine Calderwood, MSPT

Owner And Founder Of The Healing Spot

Justine Calderwood, MSPT is Colorado Springs’ leading physical therapist who specializes in helping women during pregnancy and beyond to heal and feel empowered. She loves helping people feel better and learn to manage their pain and concerns independently. She helps people in ways that often surprises them, coming from a physical therapy practice, and that’s what sets The Healing Spot Physical Therapy apart from the clinics down the street.

Justine founded The Healing Spot because she was frustrated with the way she saw her patients passed from therapist to therapist with little continuity of care, rushed through sessions and not given the time, attention and resources they needed to truly get better. She is a small town Iowa girl who was influenced by the integrity and nurturing of her family and she knew patients deserved better care.

Justine saw the way people with pelvic health issues are treated in the traditional healthcare system and got frustrated with how many people are told that their pain and concerns (like leaking, pain with sex, prolapse, etc) are just “normal after having babies” or “it’s because you’re getting older” instead of being offered a solution and peace of mind. Too many people are told to just live with it, to take medicine or that surgery is the only option. It’s her drive and passion for providing quality care while helping people avoid medications, injections and surgery that she pours into her work at The Healing Spot and into leading The Healing Spot Team.

Justine graduated with a Master’s Degree in Physical Therapy from The University of Kansas Medical Center in 2002, and is a Certified Birth Healing Practitioner, an Advanced Myofascial Release Therapist, a Reiki Master Practitioner and a Level 3 Low Pressure Fitness Trainer. Outside of work she enjoys spending time with her husband and their two daughters, working out at the gym and hiking with their two dogs, Ollie and Pennie. As a family you’ll often find them traveling, scuba diving, riding ATVs and snowmobiles and hanging out with friends and family.

Margaux Justice

Customer Care Manager

Margaux Justice is the Customer Care Manager for The Healing Spot Physical Therapy. New to the role starting in 2021, she is the voice and support behind the phone.

Margaux graduated from Iowa State University in 2017 with a BA Degree in Psychology and Design Studies; thinking she’d go on to pursue her Masters in Art Therapy. However, fresh out of college, she was quickly disillusioned with the current healthcare system and realized it was not the appropriate avenue for her to truly help others in the ways they were seeking.

In 2018, shortly after moving to Colorado, she attended a Yoga Teacher Training program with Yoga Studio Satya and is now an RYT200 who guides weekly classes. Through Yoga she discovered Ayurveda, the sister science to Yoga, and is now a full time student studying Ayurvedic Medicine and Vitalist Herbalism.

As a Yoga guide and student of Ayurvedic Medicine, Margaux loves helping others discover their unique rhythm and harmony along their healing journey, and is in the process of beginning her own budding practice to offer this type of support and care to any and all who seek it.

Outside of work and her studies, Margaux enjoys working on projects around the home with her husband Jake, gardening, creating art, exploring dance and other forms of organic movement, as well as learning to play the lyre. Her little family also consists of two rescue pups, Uma and Sigrit, as well as three cats, Rhaego, Bugsy, and Sunni; all of whom are some of her greatest teachers and reminders to be joyful, present, and content in any given moment.
